CARMAN'S PROPAGANDA MACHINE

Wow, well it's good to see the old election campaign propaganda spinner is still with us as surely it tells me there is a beating heart in politics after all. Only this propaganda spinner needs a good dusting a service and a mechanical overall it seems, when it's so knackered and worn, it appears to be pumping the same garbage out it always has, and which previously turned the electorate off politics all together as they watched as lie after lie, distortion and fudge came out of it which made them sick.

I was going to give myself a day off today saying as I'm retired.

A day off from the daily chore of watching that old propaganda spinner spin its stuff.

But just having looked at my email I came across a Google alert from yesterdays news in the Daily Telegraph of one of Mr Griffin's candidates for Barking and Dagenham, Dominic Carman, who appears to have his nickers in a twist because he can't drum up an argument about today's political issues so he's chosen instead, to wheel out the old propaganda spinner.

But rather than flick the switch to POLITICAL ARGUMENT, he chose to switch it to POLITICAL PROPAGANDA, when accusing Mr Griffin of saying 6 years ago in 2004, that; "............those who had no other way of expressing a legitimate grievance had a right to "hurt people, maim and blow things up", and that he'd added that people faced with a "tyrannical government" had a right, if not a duty, to "take up arms".

Only he seems to have made a big play out of something which is rather breathtakingly obvious doesn't he?

The Telegraph includes Mr Griffin as saying that, "They don't have the right to hurt people, to maim and blow things up or whatever. People only have that right when they are not allowed any other way of expressing a legitimate grievance.", and that in a second extract, they report he said: "Yes, in overall morality, if a tyrannical government, establishment refuses its people any way in which to protest against genuine injustices, in particular at a cultural level – then they have a right to take up arms, arguably in fact a duty to take up arms, despite the cost."

Well of course the full context isn't there in Carman's propaganda as propaganda cannot work if it includes truth, and Mr Griffin has said as much.

Further, it bears no relevance to a political debate between candidates today in a country where people DO have a right to protest against genuine injustices, don't we?

So what is Carman saying here, that no matter what injustice reigned against a body of people, and that if they have no legitimate right to protest then they have to accept it?

For that is what he said amounts to doesn't it?

Personally I think Mr Griffin's statement is pretty obvious regardless of its context for it is an obvious thing, and a natural thing, for mankind to turn to violence if being oppressed by the state.

Hence, the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, Chechnya, Iraq, Iran, American Civil War, Africa uprising, Indian Uprising, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Serbia and Kosovo, Northern Ireland, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Darfur, and a large number of other conflicts where the state has oppressed the causes of large numbers of people to seek political remedies legitimate or otherwise. i.e. Mr Griffin's statement states the obvious which Carman has taken to use as propaganda against him because he obviously hasn't anything to say about Mr Griffin's political policies.

Instead, Carman chooses to get the man instead of the mans policies.

Instead, he would sooner the people who are currently being socially suppressed and politically oppressed in Barking and Dagenham and elsewhere around Britain, did not get to hear Mr Griffin's message because it will do too much damage to the oppressors. HIM!

Again, something which is pretty damned obvious except if you are stuck in the past with a dusty old propaganda spinning machine like the one Carman obviously cannot work properly without an instruction manual.

A tip to Propagandists:
Never include truth into your Propaganda Machine because if you do, it will blow up in your face like it did with Carman!
