When it comes to David Cameron, I think it well to draw attention to this question as I understand people are being asked to actually vote for him.
One question I could ask David Cameron if I was given half a chance, would be: If you stick your fingers too far in your ears can you touch your brain?
Yet I guess in Mr Cameron's case the answer would be no, but not because he'd have to actually drill a hole in his skull, it is for the more obvious reason that he doesn't possess one.
It's a peculiar thing I think, that a man said to have such a good education is incapable of listening to the people he wants to put him into the position of EU regional president Prime Minister, as surely a Prime Minister should like any student going through one of the best universities in the country, would at bare minimum have the capacity to 'LISTEN'.
I'm not the only one who thinks this, I know this for sure. Because over the last...OO, I don't know how long has he been leader of the Conservative Party?........He has blatantly ignored most if not all issues that any Prime Minister or party leader for that matter would place their mind to quite naturally if seeking office or were actually in office, IF they were democratic..
The Guardian writes today for instance; "This has been a curious election campaign. It was supposed to all be about the economy, yet the big economic issues have hardly been debated. It was supposed to be a cake walk for the Conservatives, following the deepest and longest fall in national output since the second world war, yet David Cameron has seen his share of the vote in the opinion polls fall".
Of course 'fall' is quite an understatement when you consider only a few weeks ago the Conservative party was riding around 42-43% in the polls and Labour was trailing far behind at around 30%.
Item one of course which seemingly went straight through one ear and out the other, was the country's position - YES THE COUNTRY'S POSITION - on Europe.
Not content with seeing a "Ghastly, Vile, Racist, and Fascist" party (sic), put two seats into Europe on the back of a million votes. Rather than see and begin to tackle that as a problem for his party and as a warning from the electorate, Cameron instead decided to put another lump of cotton wool in his ears and carry on regardless like he is either deaf or ignorant.
How is Cameron representing the views of the people and his party?
It cannot possibly be the case that he is doing either.
ONE:
Latest polls on Europe show a repeated desire by the British people to either fully withdraw from it or to hold a referendum, yet despite Cameron promised (and fought for) a referendum, he has himself taken the decision not to have one and furthermore not to consider when he should do so within the life of the next parliament. Instead he has placed the economy before considering whether the UK's membership of that disgusting place, even falls into the bracket of harming our economic recovery.
I would ask, who Cameron is to decide to not consider the British people or to totally ignore the cost to taxpayers of remaining a member of the European Union when it is patently clear that it is a matter to deliberate as to whether it is worth our economic while.
HE is therefore deliberately obfuscating on the highly political and economic issues concerning the question of Britain's membership Europe, and whilst he does so he ignores representative democracy itself by failing to see the clear warnings given to him, which I think borders either on stupidity or a belief that he can simply override the people's will on his already appointed status as PM.
TWO:
I think as a result of Cameron's belief that he can forever disregard the peoples overwhelming desire to control their own economic and political future along with their own laws and foreign affairs. That he may just think he can get away with it, but has taken a precautionary position by seeking minority votes as he lauds up those who are shall we say not representative of the majority view.
Hence, Mr Cameron is now on a path to denigrate others who see the tricks he is trying to pull along with all the hoodwinking and gerrymandering he is doing, solely to gain office as PM rather than to serve the people of this country.
What do we have in Britain?
Do we have a democracy which is going somewhere in representing what the majority of people want, or a further march into dictatorship which is heading us toward economic ruin, more war, more controlling bureaucracy, more government in your face, tangles in foreign relation, even less democracy and a country which remains divisive?
