So the new bastards in parliament who cobbled themselves into a government, in a country which used to be a democracy, are going to privatise the Royal Mail.
With a splash of bribery akin to the sell off of British Telecom shares back in the 80's when BT employees were given stakes in the business with shares whilst the govt permitted any other business to compete with it, and when they undercut BT with foreign labour working on part-time contracts, and call centres in India, BT staff found their shares had become nothing other than a straight swap for job security and for some a life on the dole....
So it is to be with Royal Mail as a result of government policies which smashed British industry and turned Britain into a European village of servitude where narrow minded villagers place more value on the crashing stock market, more value on their worthless money, and more value on their own desires to have shares than they place on the value of their own and others children to share in the wealth of the nation.
Utter bullshit of course is the belief that privatisation ever did anything other than sell off Britain and it's people to money junkies whilst giving boardroom positions to those who did it.
They say it'll be just like John Lewis. An admirable company I reckon which has a lot of value, with staff who are really partners in the business, yet right now those same staff who they will soon want to name 'partners', are the last people the government will ask whether they think it a good idea to sell their jobs off to the highest bidder just so later, that bidder can tell them to get stuffed and hire immigrants to take their place.
What a bunch of comics they are to be calling for employees to have stakes in a business which belongs to all of us. A NATIONAL COMPANY which is OURS, will be given to the lads it seems without a jot of contention or public dissent. As with all other acts of piracy committed by Tory and Labour governments, the Royal Mail will manifestly be serving itself and not the people as it delivers nothing but highly paid, out of touch and out of date capitalists into yet more fancy cars and fancy houses, with gates no doubt to keep the shitty little public away.
Privatisation hasn't been seen to produce any damn thing other than piss poor service, sacks full of profit for the elite who run our country into the ground, and unemployment followed by a decimation in social conditions and areas of poverty along with a clamour by idiots to join the gravy train which is running Britain itself into the buffers.
Yes indeed, stakeholders in business is a fine ideal. It is socially responsible and a fair way to cut the exploitation of the masses by capitalists. It happens to be the policy of the British National Party to 'encourage' private businesses to do this, and not to 'force' state owned businesses, our national assets, into the hands of kleptomaniacs who can't live a life unless they are stealing other people's money. For that is what it amounts to. The Royal Mail is 'OURS'. It does not belong to the government, it doesn't belong to its employees, and it certainly doesn't belong to the managers who intentionally ran it into the ground. It belongs to the people of this nation and no one bothered asking us if we wanted to sell it.
As I said, privatisation, and this government, is full of utter bullshit!

Note Cameron's recent statement that the rest of the world doesn't owe us a living. Such off the cuff remarks reveal the naked contempt that all the main parties feel for the British.
ReplyDeleteYes, talk about twisted thinking!
ReplyDeleteCameron says the rest of the world doesn't owe us a living. Yeah we knew that already. So when can we expect one of these tossers to say Britain doesn't owe the rest of the world a living either, and make some noise as to why we have half the fucking world living off our tax dollars, and our lads fighting to give them more.
