I've been hooked up to YouGov for around 2 years now, and I can't recall ever having a questionnaire with only 4 questions on it. Some questions often puzzle me as to who or what could be the aim of asking. Take today's for example. "If you had to choose a government tomorrow, would your best option be: - (various choices between coalitions of LibDem, Cons and Labour, or a majority of Con or Labour).
I noticed there was no choice for a LibDem majority or any other, so my actual choice and therefore my political persuasion must be worthless for the point of this question. An earlier question asked which party I would vote for and that led to a question as to which one. It included The British National Party so I found it strange to then not ask whether I'd want that party to be the majority leading government of the United Kingdom.
If you have an interest in politics then you too should maybe consider signing up to YouGov too as there are many questions to spark your interest, especially early morning when you have nothing much better to do with your time, other than to sip coffee and roll another fag. I am always left wondering who sponsored the questions and in this case, I guess it could be Labour counting its vote potential.

I don't think it's necessarily a good idea for YouGov or any other state-approved organisation to know how I, or anyone else, thinks.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you suppose they intend to do with any information they gather? To use it AGAINST us of course! I prefer to keep my thought processes to myself.
Interesting that rugfish. I am also signed up with them, and have had a few questionnaires. But the latest one came with a stinger....
ReplyDeleteThey wanted to know if I would allow then to put a small programme on my computer that tracks all the web pages I visit... Hmmmm
Yes I had that too, and said no. No way am I allowing that kind of stuff on my PC.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous- Lol, I'm like reverse to that. I take great pleasure in telling them I DON'T support any of the above and that YES I DO support the British National Party. Also, I just received a £50 cheque this morning for it...lol
